The Dorset Coppice Group produce a wide and varied range of sustainable wood
products from traditional coppice crafts. Each member has signed a declaration
that they only use ‘local sustainable wood’, giving the customer
the re-assurance that the product they purchase is helping to retain Dorset’s
woodland, as well as the ancient skills of these crafts.

Timber Millers is a family run mobile sawmill and timber merchant specialising
in home-grown hardwood. They have a fully hydraulic Woodmizer LT40
mobile sawmill which can be towed to site and mill timber to your specification
with the minimum of wastage. Timber stocks include: Oak, Ash, Elm,
Chestnut, Beech, Walnut and Douglas Fir to name a few! – and can also
offer a mixture of air-dried, kiln dried and green timber.
Dorset Arts and Crafts Association was set up to revive and promote the
study of handicrafts and to encourage the education of the residents
of the County of Dorset in old and modern arts and crafts. The association
hosts an annual exhibition of art and craft work, beginning on the
first Friday in August at Bovington Middle School. Exhibitors may enter
for a variety of trophies, or purely display their work. The exhibition
also provides opportunities for exhibitors to sell their work directly
from the exhibition or via stalls. It also provides opportunities to
buy materials and books, watch demonstrations and have a go at art
and craft activities.
