Dorset Arts and Crafts Association was set up to revive and promote the study of handicrafts and to encourage the education of the residents of the County of Dorset in old and modern arts and crafts. The association hosts an annual exhibition of art and craft work, beginning on the first Friday in August at Bovington Middle School. Exhibitors may enter for a variety of trophies, or purely display their work. The exhibition also provides opportunities for exhibitors to sell their work directly from the exhibition or via stalls. It also provides opportunities to buy materials and books, watch demonstrations and have a go at art and craft activities.
